Event Detail

Conference on Survivors of Sex Trafficking

Date: September 28, 2006

Venue Information

Georgetown Holiday Inn, 2101 Wisconsin Avenue, NW Washington, DC

Event Details

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Office of Refugee Resettlement, will convene a day-long conference on survivors of sex trafficking.

Goals of conference:

  • Provide a forum for gaining an understanding of the needs of sex trafficking survivors
  • Discuss and share lessons learned (e.g., victim case management and outreach models) in identifying and serving victims of sex trafficking

We anticipate the conference will include members of Congress, Administration officials, and institutional partners, such as non-governmental organizations, outreach grantees, anti-trafficking coalition members, and contractors.
