JIT: Beyond Trafficking: A Joint Initiative in the Millennium against Trafficking in Girls and Women is an innovative program of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare (MWCSW) of His Majesty's Government (HMG) of Nepal and the United Nations System (UNS) Task Force against Trafficking. JIT supports a pioneering initiative that works toward reducing the incidence of trafficking in girls and women. The major focus of JIT is to prevent trafficking by changing the conditions which allow for trafficking of women and girls with impunity and making violations against the rights of women and girls more visible, thus, galvanizing both public and state commitment to redress the violations.
