API Legal Outreach, Asian Women's Shelter, Cameron House, Narika, and Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, together form the Asian Anti-Trafficking Collaborative (AATC), which provides victim-centered comprehensive legal and social services to trafficked persons as well as free training and technical assistance to non-governmental and government agencies.
As of late 2004, the AATC has provided services to over 80 survivors of human trafficking. These services include: representation during the T and U visa application process, emergency and transitional housing, mental health counseling, and comprehensive case management.
AATC can provide services in the following languages: Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Mien, Lao, Hindi, Punjabi, and others.
AATC has also provided trainings to the SFPD, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California, FBI, Department of Labor, and numerous community-based organizations -- all potential first responders to situations that may involve human trafficking.
AATC is an Office of Victims of Crime (OVC), Department of Justice grantee to provide comprehensive services to victims of trafficking in 2006.
