Activities

The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault educates Rape Centers and Domestic Violence Shelters throughout Texas about Human Trafficking. They provide them with information and tools that they can use to assist the victims that they serve, and may serve.

TAASA received a grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement to carry out its anti-trafficking programs.

In May 2005, TAASA held a conference in Austin, Texas to educate not only the centers that offer services to trafficking victims, but also law enforcement. For more information about the conference, refer to the TAASA web site: http://www.taasa.org/latest_news/release05192005.php
