Activities

H.O.M.E. is involved in case work and legal advocacy for foreign workers who are abused, exploited and not paid their salaries in Singapore. H.O.M.E. staff are able to facilitate the rescue of individuals who are in dire employment circumstances.

H.O.M.E. works proactively with government enforcement agencies to support law
and order affecting the employment and stay of foreign nationals in Singapore.

•  Ministry of Manpower
•  Singapore Immigration Checkpoint Authority
•  Singapore Police Force
•  Ministry of Community, Youth & Sports

H.O.M.E maintains regular closed door dialogue sessions with MOM on issues of concern relating to the well being of foreign workers in Singapore. These meetings provide a platform of constructive feedback and understanding on strategies to resolve problems on a long term perspective.

H.O.M.E. provides helpdesks and help lines for foreign workers. Volunteers from the Lay Scalabrinian Missionary Movement and the Indo Family run helpdesks every Sunday to serve foreign domestic workers. Our 24 hr. helplines provide foreign workers crisis support services which include legal consultation with our panel of voluntary lawyers.
