On 1 March 2005, the Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men and the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Population held a joint hearing on the integration of migrant women in Europe in Paris.
The Agenda was filled with presentations by a number of people who spoke on several important issues: Identifying and overcoming obstacles to migrant women's integration; Promoting migrant women's participation in public and political life; and Guaranteeing migrant women's access to rights
